Ron Hope: President/CEO

Ron Hope began his automotive career during the 1960’s in Southern California. Employed by Chrysler Corporation Stamping and Assembly Division, he worked in the Chrysler Nu Car Prep Center. Chrysler operated two centers; one in Southern California and one in Chicago, IL. Ron had various senior management positions serving in both Southern California and Chicago including overseeing quality control, production, etc. and ultimately serving as Prep Center manager in the Southern California location. Both of these centers employed approximately 300 people each and processed new Chrysler vehicles of dealers. The Prep Center also served as an Auction base for Chrysler CLC Auctions (Chrysler Leasing Corporation).

Leaving Chrysler in the mid–1980’s, Ron’s family relocated to Atlanta, GA where he was employed by Anglo-American Auto Auctions (later becoming ADT Auction Group). Ron’s first assignment was to oversee the reconditioning facilities being built and staffed by Anglo-American Auctions. This included the construction of detail shops, mechanic shops, and paint/body shops. In the early 1990’s, he was promoted to Director of Client Services expanding his duties to include health and safety for the Auction group, all customer relations, factory sale operations, along with special projects.

In autumn of 1995, Ron left ADT to take the position of Vice President of Auto Auction Operations for ADESA Corporation. In 1999, Ron formed a company known as Global Automotive Solutions, and served as a consultant and Director of Client Services for British Car Auctions.

Using London, England as a base, Ron assisted in the growth of British Car Auctions as they expanded across the European Automotive continent. Returning to the U.S. in 2005, he formed Capital Automotive Reconditioning Services (CARS Recon, Inc.), which over the past 10 years has expanded from one location with 12 full time employees, to its current status of operating in 20 states with more than 700 full time employees and more than 30 business units.
